About Visual Audit Analytics
Visual Audit Analytics was created to make audit analytics easier to build, understand, and repeat.
The application was designed by an auditor with deep experience in IT audit, financial audit support, data analytics, and ACL-based testing. The goal is simple: give audit teams a practical analytics tool that matches the way they actually work.
VAA started as a visual interface for ACL, helping users create and manage analytics through a flow-based design. It has since grown into a standalone audit analytics application with its own SQL-based backend and expanded functionality.
Today, Visual Audit Analytics helps users import data, build visual workflows, run SQL-backed analytics, create audit-focused tests, and produce structured outputs for review and documentation.
Why It Was Built
Many audit teams want to use more analytics, but the available tools often create barriers. Some require too much scripting. Some are too general-purpose. Others do not reflect the practical realities of audit work.
Visual Audit Analytics was built to reduce that friction. It gives auditors a clearer way to design analytics, review logic, rerun tests, and explain results.
